While on the School Board, Bob has worked to: • focus on student academic achievement and classroom instruction • make our schools safer through enhanced security features including improved entry, weapon detection, and secure classroom doors • enact policies which improve the lives of students and our community • improve teacher and all staff retention and salaries • create a transparent, year-round budget process • protect students' rights to critical thinking and reading • expand community schools' services such as school-based heath clinics • find a solution to chronic absenteeism and social media distractions
